How the REAP 2026 rank predictor works

The Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) orders candidates by merit and then allots B.Tech seats in RTU-affiliated colleges — including Arya College of Engineering (ACE), Jaipur — through choice-filling. REAP merit is built in this order of priority:

  1. JEE Main rank (candidates with a valid JEE Main score get priority in the merit ordering),
  2. Class 12th PCM percentile for candidates without JEE Main, and
  3. Diploma marks for lateral-equivalent and diploma entrants.

This tool takes the input you have today — your 12th PCM aggregate or your JEE Main percentile — together with your category and domicile, and maps it to an indicative REAP rank band using the score-to-rank pattern seen across recent REAP cycles. It then translates that band into the B.Tech branches that are typically within reach, competitive, or aspirational at your level.

What actually determines your REAP rank

  • Score: a higher JEE Main percentile or 12th PCM percentage moves you up the merit list and widens your branch and college options.
  • Category: Rajasthan-domicile SC, ST, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL and EWS candidates compete inside their category pool, so the effective rank for a seat is usually better than the open-merit rank.
  • Domicile: roughly 85% of seats are reserved for Rajasthan candidates; about 15% are open to out-of-state candidates (General-equivalent, without Rajasthan reservation benefits).
  • Branch demand: CSE and the IT-family branches (AI & Data Science, IT, Cyber Security) close at the most competitive ranks; core branches such as Mechanical and Civil remain accessible across a wider band.
Reading the result honestly: the number you get is a planning estimate, not a promise. Two students with the same percentage can land different ranks depending on the year's applicant pool and JEE-vs-12th mix. Use the estimate to shape your choice list — then confirm against the official REAP 2026 cutoff when it is published, or get an ACE-specific read from a counsellor.

From predicted rank to a smart choice list

Your rank is only useful if it changes what you do during choice-filling. Once you know your band:

  • Place a realistic mix of aspirational, competitive, and safe branch-college choices — never a single option.
  • If a specific branch matters more than the college brand, prioritise the branch and pick colleges with proven placements in it.
  • Lock your choices before the deadline; un-locked choices are auto-discarded in many rounds.
